Beginning Stained Glass Two-day workshop: $175
10 am to 3:30 pm
Limited to 6 students Minimum 4 students
Join us for this special two-day weekend class.
You will learn (or refresh your skills) in the copper foil method.
Get hands on training preparing the pattern, cutting and grinding the glass, foiling and soldering.
You will finish up with a zinc frame, hanging loops, and patina (if desired).

In this one-day class you will produce a wonderful mirror which is 9”x12” with all supplies included. You will also be able to use my tools the day of the class. (Everything is included to make your mirror!) In this class, you will learn :
* basic glass cutting
* how to design your own mosaic (there will also be patterns available).
* my techniques and tricks to make a wonderful piece of art.

**After discussing scheduling with Big M Stained Glass, I have decided to have a one-day class with a grouting demonstration at the end of the class. (You will be sent home with everything you need to grout your piece of art.) You will also have access to a You-Tube video that shows the grouting process from beginning to end for reference. If you aren’t comfortable grouting your own piece, I will be able to grout your mirror for you for a small fee.

Classes given by Philippe Gilbert Tillay, who has been creating stained glass art for over 18 years. He attend a workshop in Siena Italy at the ” Vetrate Artistiche Toscane ” studio with Maestros Alberto Positano, Gianni and Massimo Bracciali. He since has worked with hand painting, grisaille, kiln firing,fusing ,jewelry making.
